Machining & precision mechanics
Plastic, rubber & composite machining
SPR uses machining to produce plastic, rubber and composite technical parts, from short to mass production runs.
Crafting plastics for industry
At SPR we bring you our experience in designing, repairing or converting all types of specific parts made of materials as different as plastic, rubber and all other composites and by-products. We machine parts made of various technical plastics to your drawings or models.
Whether it’s automotive, aerospace, mechanics, transportation, or pharmaceuticals, various industries use machined plastic parts, either to design new parts or to replace or improve moulded parts.
Digital chain continuity in the service of plastic parts machining compliance
After thermoforming, the machining phase consists in trimming, milling and cutting the plastic part. Allowing a wide range of cutting and and machining forms, SPR’s machinery base includes numerical control machining centres allowing for complex trimming.
No break in the digital design chain exists from your CAD file to the numerical control trimming process, ensuring total compliance of the finished product. Our machining centres allow us to machine large plastic parts out of different materials. SPR’s ability to satisfy the plastic, rubber or composite technical parts market makes our group a privileged partner among those placing large national and international orders.

A whole world of plastic parts
Thanks to our wide experience and know-how combined with cutting-edge technology, the SPR group is involved in many sectors of industry, meeting the most complex requirements for manufacturing or designing machined parts made of technical plastics. The machining of plastic parts, much less well-known than injection or extrusion, allows the production of parts in short production runs, or even unit parts, with reduced tolerances and without tooling costs. Machining also makes it possible to dispense with thickness limitations. Our stock of numerical control machinery allows great freedom of design and production. The choice of the most suitable material
In step with a constantly evolving industry, SPR prides itself on offering the most suitable material for the requirements of our customers. Our materials are purchased from the biggest European suppliers, so as to guarantee the best quality, excellent replicability and genuine traceability. The materials that we generally use are standard or high-performance thermoplastics. Technical specifics, durability and traceability are all factors that will influence the choice of the material as well as the final investment cost.
